MISSION
Pioneering Holistic Sustainability
GBuildEx was founded by two visionary architects - Ar. Joan de Leon - Tabinas & Ar. Alvin Tejada - who shared a deep commitment to sustainability and a bold vision for a more environmentally conscious future. These architects were not just passionate about sustainable practices; they were also certified experts in the field. They firmly believed that sustainability wasn't confined to the blueprint of a building but was ‘interwoven’ into the very fabric of our existence.
Driven by their passion for teaching they recognized the incredible potential of education as a catalyst for holistic change, the kind that transcends boundaries and industries. As a desire to create a positive impact, these architects embarked on a mission to bring about a significant shift in the built environment industry to embrace sustainable practices and shape a greener future.
With this vision, they founded Green Building Experts Pte Ltd. or GBuildEx, a company dedicated to green and sustainability education. GBuildEx became the embodiment of their belief that education could spark a movement—a movement to educate people about sustainability, engage with communities, and enable and empower individuals of all ages to join forces and collectively work towards greening the future.
Today, GBuildEx stands as a living testament to the founders' enduring passion and unwavering commitment. It remains a beacon of inspiration, a wellspring of education, and a catalyst for empowerment, driving a sustainable revolution. Through its tireless efforts, GBuildEx is shaping a future that gleams brighter and greener, where sustainability is not merely a choice but an inherent part of our collective norm—a legacy that bestows its benefits upon both the current and forthcoming generations.

Ar. Joan de Leon - Tabinas
Architect / Sustainability Development Strategist / UAP / MSc ISD / LEED
Joan is a licensed architect, urban designer, sustainability strategist and systems thinker.
Experienced multi-disciplinary consultant with deftness in handling from planning to execution. She demonstrated a history of working in the built-environment on urban planning, architecture and sustainability across Asia and other regions by handling notable and complex projects.
She gained her masters degree in Integrated Sustainable Design at National University of Singapore (NUS). For her, alliance between disciplines is a major enablers in delivering robust solutions. She is the author of CORE 360°Systemic Thinking an approach where in the biodiversity, water, energy, food, public space, materials & construction methodology and waste are woven together to create a dynamic and robust solution for the promotion of sustainable, healthy, inclusive and resilient environment.
Ar. Alvin Tejada

Alvin is an Architect, Project Management Professional (PMP) and a pioneering LEED & WELL Accredited Professional, and TRUE Advisor in SE Asia; He is also a USGBC and IWBI Faculty. Alvin has acquired more than 25 years of experience in architectural and interior design, corporate real estate, construction, property and facilities management. He has advanced his career as an independent practitioner and a team player in multinational companies.
